Field Technician I

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vessel crews and port agents to schedule attendances
• Conduct sampling aboard ocean-going vessels, harbor craft, and land-based facilities
• Transport collected samples to the laboratory for analysis
• Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination
• Follow all relevant safety protocols in port and industrial environments

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of applicable experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely
• Knowledge of basic Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
