Field Technician I

Responsibilities

• Collect samples of products or raw materials from containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and rail
• Label sample containers and paperwork with identifying data, location, date, and time
• Deliver samples to the laboratory for analysis
• Perform sample preparation, including reduction and division of appropriate sizes
• Gather samples at specified locations, processing states, and time intervals
• Perform sample screening and related physical tests
• Maintain and clean equipment and containers
• Adhere to all safety processes, PPE requirements, and internal policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid and current Driver’s license
• Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card)
• Ability to obtain 24-hour MSHA certificate
• Ability to perform local day travel and occasional overnight travel
