About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist senior staff in planning and executing daily tasks, including Crew Activity Plans (CAP)
- Learn the fundamentals of operating, monitoring, and maintaining environmental systems
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on environmental control system components under guidance
- Conduct field observations and report them through field notes and daily logs
- Utilize field instruments to measure environmental control system data
- Participate in preliminary data reviews with supervisors
- Assist in making operational adjustments to environmental control system components
- Support other staff in the removal of landfill liquids pumps
Requirements
- No prior experience required; mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste experience preferred
- Willingness to complete a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course
- Basic proficiency in smartphones, tablets, and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including hand excavation, climbing ladders, and operating manlifts
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
