Field Technician C

Responsibilities

• Support the Customer Field Service department by assisting with overhead line construction design and work orders
• Perform mathematical calculations to support designs and prepare accurate project documents, including drawings and material lists
• Update and maintain the accuracy of computerized systems and databases such as GIS and SAP
• Gather customer requirements and act as a customer advocate
• Learn and apply electric codes and work practices including NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
• Provide 24-hour coverage as required for storm restoration or emergency work assignments
• Use measuring tools, mobile data devices, and testing instruments to complete field tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 30 accredited college credits toward an Associate Science Degree in engineering, applied science, or a related curriculum
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based systems
• Ability to work storm/emergency assignments with short notice and extended durations
• Ability to interpret drawings, sketches, and written instructions
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate Science Degree program in engineering or applied science
• Applicable military experience
