About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize production process variables to ensure equipment operates at peak reliability and efficiency
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain oil and gas production equipment, including plunger lifts, rod pumping, and compressors
- Optimize artificial lift systems and perform well testing
- Acquire fluid level information and maintain accurate records and data input
- Monitor computer control systems and SCADA operations
- Test safety devices and ensure all work adheres to operational excellence standards and regulatory requirements
- Support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by following safe operating practices and maintaining a safe working environment
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to create work orders and manage inventory
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months of current related experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to work a 14/14 work schedule, including rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Petroleum, Process Technology, or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of current related experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries
- Familiarity with reliability efforts regarding safety, environmental, and production issues
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment
- Experience with pneumatic/electronic instrumentation
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CMMS, and SCADA
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
