Field Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide professional sourcing, competitive bidding, and vendor management services to support safety, efficiency, and cost-savings initiatives.
• Develop and issue formal requests for quotes (RFQs) and manage the bidding process.
• Evaluate, qualify, and recommend bidders while negotiating final prices and commercial terms.
• Assist internal customers in developing technical specifications and scopes of work.
• Identify and address business risks during the sourcing process and ensure contractor compliance with safety and insurance requirements.
• Participate in budget planning and plant turnaround (TAR) procurement planning.
• Document and report all cost savings associated with sourcing activities.
• Facilitate the sale of surplus assets and provide on-site sourcing support during major plant turnarounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of purchasing experience supporting operations or manufacturing, or 5 years of operations experience with strong commercial skill sets.
• Sourcing experience within a Supply Chain Management organization.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid U.S. employment authorization (no visa sponsorship available).

• Bachelor's Degree.
