Field Service Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing and maintenance on equipment in datacenters and substations
• Conduct acceptance and maintenance testing on transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays
• Perform NETA testing and inspections to ensure industry compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions
• Conduct insulation resistance, power factor, and relay tests
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Maintain detailed documentation of test results and service reports
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or commissioning
• Experience working in datacenters and substations
• Strong understanding of NETA standards and power system components
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various field conditions
• Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• NETA certification
