About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of equipment service, including installation, startup, functional testing, and project closeout.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose root-cause problems for Ozone oxidation process equipment.
  • Conduct equipment condition audits to identify service opportunities and minimize customer downtime.
  • Perform on-site training for customer operators and maintenance staff regarding equipment operation and safety.
  • Manage site resources and coordinate with external suppliers or internal Xylem teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for parts, service, and preventative maintenance contracts to expand Xylem's footprint.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Ozone oxidation process equipment in municipal or industrial water/wastewater sectors.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, hydraulic profiles, and piping diagrams.
  • Experience in the repair and service of instrumentation (flow meters, level/temperature/pressure transmitters, etc.).
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment for low and medium voltage power distribution and three-phase network configurations.
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI troubleshooting, including online debugging and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to travel more than 75% within the US and Canada.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a valid passport.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer management and technical reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Green Belt Certification or willingness to acquire it.
  • Capability of handling PLC software modification.
