Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections, calibrations, and software updates
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures
• Complete service reports, calibration documentation, and expense reports
• Generate quotations for repairs, maintenance agreements, and system upgrades
• Train customers on proper system operation and maintenance procedures
• Respond to emergency service requests and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Maintain company-issued tools, test equipment, inventory, and vehicle

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical, or Mechanical Technology
• Minimum of two years of field service experience with technical equipment
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel extensively and perform overnight travel
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience servicing laboratory water purification systems
• Experience with reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), or UV disinfection systems
• Experience in biomedical, pharmaceutical, or life science instrumentation environments
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce
• Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
