Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, scheduled maintenance, and emergency service on UPS, Power Distribution Units, and battery system products.
• Provide on-site and phone technical assistance to customers to ensure high satisfaction and "first time fix" rates.
• Execute Field Change Notices and adhere to all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Manage administrative tasks including timecards, expense reports, service reports, and inventory cycle counts.
• Maintain company property, including vehicles, test equipment, and laptops, in accordance with policy.
• Communicate effectively with technical support, sales representatives, and customers regarding service status and technical issues.

Requirements

• 4+ years of military technical experience or 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Familiarity with electrical and electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Ability to follow written technical documentation, procedures, and product manuals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASEET or AMEET certification (or progress towards certification).
