About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of field service technicians, fostering a culture of open communication and high performance.
  • Monitor team performance, delegate tasks, set deadlines, and identify training needs.
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for compressor packages, electrical/control systems, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform retrofitting of industrial control panels and routine maintenance in accordance with ANSI/IIAR-6 standards.
  • Act as a technical specialist to improve machinery operation for plant and refinery customers.
  • Train customers on equipment operation and provide on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Manage administrative duties including service tickets, inspection reports, and expense reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration.
  • ANSI / IIAR-6 certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
  • Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with advanced knowledge of screw and piston type compressors.
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school certification in refrigeration or a similar field.
  • RETA CIRO Certification.
