Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair Nelson Stud Welding systems, including power sources, accessories, and field diesel units
• Repair and maintain customer equipment onsite
• Assist customers and sales representatives with equipment, accessory, and technical problems via telephone or in person
• Perform in-house training, demonstrations, and weld samples for customers and sales teams
• Execute boiler outage service, cycle counts, and shipping/receiving responsibilities as required
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment

Requirements

• Associate degree (A.S./A.A.S.) or 6-12 months of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read, write, and interpret complex technical documents and electrical schematics
• Ability to write routine technical reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving proportions, percentages, and volume
