Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and provide on-demand or scheduled service and training for general-purpose industrial equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic equipment breakdowns
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for repairs and upgrades
• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians
• Manage service call schedules and document daily activities and expenses
• Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers to review procedures and site compatibility
• Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and notify appropriate parties
• Design and conduct training programs for repair and preventative maintenance

Requirements

• 4-5 years of transferable technical experience
• Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• PLC troubleshooting and repair knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High School Degree or Technical/College Degree
• Ability to travel daily by auto with frequent overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional courses in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields
