Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solar and battery storage systems, including electrical and mechanical components
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar panels, inverters, and battery storage units
• Operate specialized tools and equipment for solar and battery system installations and repairs
• Manage field-based projects and oversee contractors and third-party work
• Create and implement standard work instructions (SWIs) for field service tasks
• Complete daily task lists and respond to field service work requests
• Address general electro-mechanical issues related to solar and battery systems
• Work cross-functionally with operations teams to support growth and continuous improvement goals

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Strong background in electrical systems and mechanical maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to field locations
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, lift, and walk up and down stairs
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather and temperature extremes
• Availability to work weekends, nights, or on-call as needed
