Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical equipment
• Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions for POS systems, cash registers, coin changers, and alarms
• Complete service requests and maintenance tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Review work orders, manuals, and technical drawings to guide repairs
• Utilize testing devices, hand tools, and power tools to perform technical tasks
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Travel overnight 30–40% for installations, repairs, and upgrades
• Maintain accurate documentation using company systems and mobile tools

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Ability to travel 30–40% overnight
• Good driving record
• Proficiency with computers and smartphones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with POS systems such as Verifone or NCR
• Experience working with alarm systems
• Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment
• Ability to review technical drawings and manuals
• Willingness to support installations and upgrades in other regions
