Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance routines on mission-critical communication systems and RF infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system maintenance, upgrades, and support
• Optimize and support software-driven electronics, RF systems, and broadband systems
• Maintain, test, and document complex communication systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams to meet customer expectations
• Provide weekly reports regarding field activities and accomplishments

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Networking, or Telecommunications
• Proficiency in computer network installation and maintenance, including routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges
• Knowledge of wired communications systems such as LAN and WAN
• Ability to obtain government background clearance and pass a stringent fingerprint background check
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time
• Must reside within a commutable distance to Essex County, New York

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electronics or IT
• Security+ or CompTIA certifications
• Experience with logging recording systems and RF interfaces
