About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, installation, and maintenance for complex regional communication systems, including RF and broadband architecture.
  • Perform upgrades, optimization, and troubleshooting of software-driven electronics and communication system infrastructure.
  • Execute removal and installation of Fixed Network Equipment (FNE) and mobile communications equipment following R56 Standards.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance routines, including trend analysis and documentation of results.
  • Maintain and calibrate assigned company assets and communications test equipment.
  • Document all work performed, including customer details, parts used, and hours worked.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in LMR, RF systems, telecommunications, or related networking/IT fields.
  • Ability to obtain background clearance required by government customers and NERC CIP clearance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with communications test equipment such as system analyzers and power meters.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and computer network installation.
  • Must be able to obtain CET Associate certification within 6 months and R56 Installer Certification within 1 year.
  • Ability to work an on-call 24/7/365 schedule with travel requirements of 25-50%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Network certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or similar.
  • Experience with P25, ASTRO 25, or WAVE VoIP technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware/OS maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex equipment schematics and diagrams.
