Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote service, troubleshooting, and installation support for electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues through testing and troubleshooting to perform repairs, replacements, or upgrades
• Complete installation and testing of new equipment for customers
• Conduct hands-on training for customers and internal employees on new products, tooling, and processes
• Perform onsite application reviews and provide product recommendations
• Assist sales teams with ROI calculations for upgrades and new sales opportunities
• Maintain detailed written reports for all services provided and manage service scheduling
• Enter quotes and orders related to field service and support
• Maintain safety compliance and manage tools, equipment, and parts required for successful service visits

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or Technical Diploma
• 5+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, electromechanical, converting, or paper making environments
• Ability to travel globally (80%+ of the time)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, including understanding tolerancing and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Epicor, and Salesforce
• Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and digital protractors
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
