Field Service Technician Level III

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment including switchboards and control panels
• Install, modify, and inspect electrical or mechanical components such as circuit breakers, bus bars, and control wiring
• Lead complex field service activities and resolve high-priority customer issues
• Analyze system failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with Project Managers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve field issues
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, and parts usage accurately
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Level I and Level II technicians

Requirements

• 3+ years of related electrical, mechanical, or field service experience
• 2+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up, commissioning, or troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%)
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational training in power distribution systems
• Military experience in related technical fields
• Experience with UPS systems, generators, or PDUs
