Field Service Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment including switchboards and control panels
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components such as circuit breakers, bus bars, and control wiring
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions for technical issues
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking
• Coordinate with Project Managers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve customer-reported issues
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, parts usage, and follow-up requirements
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job support to Level I technicians

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning
• 1–3 years of related electrical, mechanical, or field service experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel up to 75% to regional field offices and vendor sites
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50lbs
