Field Service Technician I

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on BESS equipment, inverters, and electrical infrastructure
• Perform routine inspections, functional testing, and condition monitoring
• Maintain accurate PM records and equipment histories within the CMMS
• Respond to equipment alarms, faults, and unplanned failures with systematic diagnosis
• Perform component-level repair and replacement on inverters, battery modules, and switchgear
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours response
• Adhere to site safety protocols, OSHA standards, and NFPA 70E requirements

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or Power Systems
• 1-3 years of experience maintaining electrical systems, energy storage, or renewable energy facilities
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and wiring schematics
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, OSHA 10/30, and NFPA 70E certifications
• Availability for rotating on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Must reside in or relocate to the Amarillo, TX area

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), inverters, or medium/high-voltage equipment
• Experience using CMMS platforms like IBM Maximo, UpKeep, or Fiix
