Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services to clients using a fully equipped mobile service van
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to perform repairs, calibrations, and provide technical consultation
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment
• Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business and meet service goals
• Complete all necessary paperwork for repairs and calibrations
• Manage inventory to ensure parts and tools are available and maintain accurate records
• Ensure the service vehicle conforms to safety standards through regular maintenance

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical or technical experience
• Valid S.A. driver’s license (Code 10 or 14) with a valid PDP
• Clean criminal record
• Ability to lift or move up to 35kg
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to provide a safe, preferably covered, space near your home to park the service van overnight

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer service orientation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required
