About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of gas compression packages
- Assist in rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field
- Conduct mechanical inspections using micrometers, pressure gauges, and electronic diagnostic equipment
- Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and policies
Requirements
- 3–5 years of applicable mechanical or electrical experience
- High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Possession of personal tools (excluding specialty/OEM diagnostic equipment)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical testing
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to work in various climates and adverse field conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of gas and oil properties, conditions, and theories
- Experience with dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and hydraulic torquing equipment
