Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of gas compression packages
• Assist in rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field
• Conduct mechanical inspections using micrometers, pressure gauges, and electronic diagnostic equipment
• Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs
• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and policies

Requirements

• 3–5 years of applicable mechanical or electrical experience
• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Possession of personal tools (excluding specialty/OEM diagnostic equipment)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical testing
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to work in various climates and adverse field conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of gas and oil properties, conditions, and theories
• Experience with dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and hydraulic torquing equipment
