About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform the installation and commissioning of new separators and decanters.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for GEA separator and decanter systems.
- Travel to customer sites to perform routine maintenance, emergency service, and warranty work.
- Train customers and employees on optimal equipment usage and general maintenance practices.
- Test systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital, and pneumatic controls.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance in compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Collect and classify data using various measuring instruments to support equipment monitoring.
- Provide feedback to internal departments to assist in the development and improvement of products.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional or Collegian Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to travel at least 75% of the time within Quebec and other Canadian provinces.
- Must possess a valid passport and be eligible to work in Canada and the USA.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible working schedule and travel internationally if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Centrifuge and Decanter systems.
- Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), programming, or control panels.
- Background in process and electrical systems.
