About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, installation, and maintenance of water treatment and disinfection systems
- Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed and process monitoring equipment
- Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories
- Support customers with local NYC regulations regarding Legionella compliance (LL77 and Bill 1390)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in the institutional sector
- Ensure full compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in water treatment or an industrial/mechanical environment
- Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in various environments (hot, cold, noisy, or dirty) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or trade school certification
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Experience in the specialty chemical industry
- Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
