Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on critical medical equipment including ventilators, patient monitoring systems, and infection prevention technologies
• Provide field-based service for imaging systems such as MRI and ultrasound across hospital sites in Victoria
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize equipment downtime and support clinical operations
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clinical staff and internal technical teams

Requirements

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining medical equipment, with specific experience in ventilator maintenance
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on technical experience)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clinicians and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment with occasional interstate travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to imaging systems such as MRI and ultrasound
• Experience with medical lasers
