Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and activate BarnTalk hardware, including gateways, sensors, and relays, at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electronic issues both remotely and on-site.
• Drive product sales by identifying opportunities to expand customer business through additional products and services.
• Educate customers on system operation, monitoring, and best practices.
• Perform maintenance visits, system audits, and warranty support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical servicing (e.g., agriculture, HVAC, or controls).
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and farm environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the eastern shore peninsula (DE, MD, VA) and work weekends in emergencies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in remote field locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IoT, wireless technology, or low voltage installation.
• Previous experience working within the agricultural or construction industries.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
