Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support, installation, troubleshooting, and repair for Feed and Biofuel equipment.
• Participate in equipment start-ups, commissioning, and complex mechanical repair work.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, flow diagrams, and schematics to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as Verniers, Micrometers, and Dial Indicators.
• Support Customer Account Managers by identifying parts for repairs, rebuilds, and warranty work.
• Complete service reports, invoicing documentation, and other administrative tasks accurately.
• Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all company safety policies in industrial environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical systems, assembly, and equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in measurement techniques.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70% within North America (U.S. and Canada).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various industrial environments (noisy, dusty, or confined spaces).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pelleting, grinding, and ancillary Feed & Biofuel processes.
• Previous field service or technical support experience in industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with customer service and warranty coordination.
• Experience conducting technical training or demonstrations.
• Proficiency with SAP.
