Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call field service, troubleshooting, and maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components at customer locations.
• Execute basic maintenance and minor repairs on products such as decanters, high-speed separators, or heat exchangers.
• Investigate and resolve technical problems to ensure reliable operation and optimum performance.
• Prepare service jobs according to the FSE Handbook and write detailed on-site service reports.
• Update IT systems with relevant service information and capture installed base data to communicate sales leads.
• Provide proactive recommendations to customers regarding additional spare parts and service needs.
• Perform all tasks in compliance with OSHA requirements and local safety reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with a strong mechanical background.
• Over 5 years of experience in similar field service roles.
• Expertise in transmission systems and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel and manage associated operating expenses.
• Basic PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Customer service and sales orientation.
