Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call field service, troubleshooting, and maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components at customer locations.
• Execute basic maintenance, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance on products such as decanters, high-speed separators, or heat exchangers.
• Investigate and resolve technical problems to ensure reliable operation and optimum performance.
• Prepare service jobs according to the FSE Handbook and write detailed on-site service reports.
• Update service execution IT systems and manage travel costs and operating expenses.
• Communicate sales leads and proactive spare part recommendations to the sales organization.
• Perform services in Service Centers as required and adhere to all OSHA and local safety requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with a strong mechanical background.
• Over 5 years of experience in similar field service roles.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and aptitude.
• Customer service and sales orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel and manage field service visit expenses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
