Field Service Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process warranty requests, replacements, and claims to ensure timely resolution
• Provide technical guidance and lead problem-solving efforts with clients, engineers, and suppliers to resolve on-site issues
• Identify and report hardware, software, or system design deficiencies and implement corrective actions
• Track monthly warranty costs for the assigned business unit and report findings to management
• Prepare and issue Service Advices for troubleshooting to clients and field engineers
• Resolve supplier product failures in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Investigate suggested field changes and recommend solutions to management and the parent company

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field
• 3 years of experience in field engineering, client support, or testing of photovoltaic inverters
• Demonstrated knowledge of power conversion and distribution transformers
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English (oral and written)
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards
• Demonstrated experience in photovoltaic inverter power generation
