About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and installations on electro-mechanical medical equipment.
- Analyze equipment failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage an assigned territory by scheduling service calls and PMs within established SLAs.
- Document all performance and maintenance records accurately.
- Plan and order necessary parts while maintaining proper system inventory records.
- Provide guidance and training to customer personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain positive customer relationships through effective and timely communication.
- Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety SOPs and policies.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, biomedical equipment technology, or computer science with 3+ years of experience (or equivalent experience/certification as specified).
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in healthcare settings, including following PPE requirements like gowning and masks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous field service experience in a medical or technical environment.
- Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) certification.
