About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electro-mechanical medical equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage an assigned service territory by efficiently scheduling service calls and travel to meet SLA commitments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, maintenance records, and inventory transactions.
  • Provide training and guidance to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service status and issue resolution to maintain high satisfaction.
  • Plan and order necessary parts for service while maintaining proper inventory control.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience/certification).
  • 3+ years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clinical and hospital staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous field service experience in a medical or clinical setting.
  • Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) certification.
