Field Service Specialist – Valves

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high and low-pressure valves, actuators, and controls
• Provide technical assistance and work leadership to Field Service Engineers
• Execute precision fitting of components, including bearings (white metal sleeve, roller, ball, and tilting pad arrangements)
• Conduct shaft and coupling alignment using multiple dial and laser methods
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, depth gauges, and DTIs
• Support and train current and new Field Service Engineers
• Assist the Field Service Supervisor in the execution of daily tasks
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and workplace standards

Requirements

• Matric certificate
• N3/N4 Qualified Fitter, Artisan, or Turner/Turner Machinist
• 4 years of experience working with valves, actuators, and controls
• 2 years of specific experience with KSB products
• Deep knowledge of HP (High Pressure) and LP (Low Pressure) valves
• Insight into on-site valve machining and lapping
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Proficiency in precision measuring and understanding of fits and tolerances
• Experience with rotating equipment such as blowers, compressors, gear reducers, and multi-stage pumps
