Field Service Mechanic - Heavy Equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on mobile and support equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical faults including wiring, sensors, switches, charging systems, starters, and control circuits
• Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and test equipment to identify failures
• Repair or replace damaged, worn, or failed components in field conditions
• Perform inspections, routine servicing, and documentation of completed work
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment status to leadership

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex failures independently
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability and willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Experience troubleshooting large-frame mobile equipment used in drilling or material movement preferred
• Experience working on OTR trucks, engines, and auxiliary equipment preferred
• Familiarity with drilling rig systems and high-pressure hydraulics preferred
