About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on mobile and support equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical faults including wiring, sensors, switches, charging systems, starters, and control circuits
- Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and test equipment to identify failures
- Repair or replace damaged, worn, or failed components in field conditions
- Perform inspections, routine servicing, and documentation of completed work
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment status to leadership
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex failures independently
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience troubleshooting large-frame mobile equipment used in drilling or material movement preferred
- Experience working on OTR trucks, engines, and auxiliary equipment preferred
- Familiarity with drilling rig systems and high-pressure hydraulics preferred
