Field Service Generator Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and at various customer locations.
• Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, either independently or as part of a technical team.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for deployment in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
• Manage daily local travel in a company vehicle to support field operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience working with diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, and performing inspections and repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift or move objects typically weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card if required by customer needs.
