About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electro-mechanical systems and CNC machine tools at customer manufacturing facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including CNC drives, amplifiers, servomotors, PLCs, glass scales, and rotary encoders.
- Interact professionally with customer personnel, including maintenance technicians, supervisors, and machine operators.
- Document troubleshooting steps, findings, and repairs implemented to keep remote support staff and customers informed.
- Perform extensive domestic and international travel, including multi-week deployments for service projects and machine installations.
- Provide coaching and informal training to customer personnel regarding the efficient use and maintenance of Gleason products.
Requirements
- Associates Degree (A.S.) from an accredited two-year technical program.
- 3 years of experience in CNC machine tool troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance.
- Detailed working knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to travel extensively (minimum 36 weeks per year).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in a technical field.
- Familiarity with SAP quality system tools.
- Experience with Concur web-based expense reporting.
