Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive, and corrective maintenance of Vertiv UPS systems, including the Liebert® series.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems to resolve faults and restore uptime.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and Vertiv service standards during all field activities.
• Prepare and submit accurate technical service reports, RCARs, and necessary documentation.
• Provide on-site technical support and training to customers regarding UPS operation and maintenance.
• Maintain service tools, calibration equipment, and documentation in optimal working condition.
• Collaborate with regional and global support teams to resolve complex technical escalations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of field service experience, preferably with UPS or power systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical schematics, battery systems, and power electronics.
• Valid driving license.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time within Malaysia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience or familiarity with Vertiv Liebert® UPS systems.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
