Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, setup, and commissioning of TRUMPF products at customer sites globally.
• Provide technical training to customers on machine operation and programming.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs at customer factories to resolve technical issues.
• Train local service engineers on installation and maintenance procedures.
• Support global service quality by sharing technical insights and expertise with the team.
• Coordinate with sales, internal support, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese communication skills.
• English proficiency sufficient to participate in technical training (willingness to use English for business is key).
• Hands-on experience using tools for maintenance, servicing, or manufacturing.
• Ability to drive internationally.
• Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 70-80% of time spent on international assignments (Asia, Europe, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Business-level English proficiency.
• Experience working with machine tools or laser processing machines.
• Previous experience in field service or equipment commissioning.
