Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support TRUMPF customers in North America by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-tech equipment.
• Participate in an intensive initial training program lasting 5-6 months, followed by ongoing product training.
• Perform basic retrofits, software installations, and provide technical training to customers.
• Conduct root cause analysis, document technical findings, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage administrative tasks and paperwork with high quality and timeliness.
• Travel up to 100% both domestically and internationally to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
• 2+ years of experience in technical service, field service, repair, or customer service.
• Strong experience with electrical and computer systems, including high-level diagnostic skills.
• Hands-on experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and independent work capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working directly with TRUMPF equipment.
