Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines are performing to customer expectations
• React to machine issues in the field and ensure prompt resolution
• Troubleshoot machine problems and performance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance, including pre-season and post-season servicing
• Complete removal and installation of mechanical components such as shafts, bearings, belts, and motors
• Work with engineering and R&D to improve work instructions and assembly procedures
• Maintain relationships with sales leadership and the customer care centre
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement activities
• Perform customer training as required
• Promote a "Safety first" culture

Requirements

• Industrial trade qualification in electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial manufacturing (or equivalent degree/diploma)
• 3+ years of experience as a field service engineer or equivalent education
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipment
• Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical assembly, and wiring
• Knowledge of PLC
• Experience in PC building, repairing, and diagnostic testing
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a valid passport
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%)
• Ability to lift up to 20 Kg and work in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with packaging and/or printing machinery
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
