Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and repair of sensor-based sorters.
• Ensure maximum performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences through effective communication and technical support.
• Optimize sorting processes through sampling and testing.
• Identify opportunities to add value to customers by introducing complementary products and services.
• Act as a liaison between customers and Headquarters to provide market feedback.

Requirements

• Technical degree or secondary technical school specialization in electronics, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Residence within a 200 km radius of the Brescia area.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more (domestic in Italy and occasional international trips).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and x-ray technology.
• Proficiency in PC configuration and network structures.
• Native Italian and proficient English language skills.
• Full clean driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in an industrial environment focusing on preventive and curative maintenance.
• Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes.
