Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze utility inverters in the field
• Develop detailed knowledge of SMA utility inverter products and accessories
• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts
• Work with high voltage DC electricity and three phase power
• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with product manuals
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while managing field service costs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in electrical, electronic, or network communications
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and within a global team
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the solar energy industry
• Knowledge of National Electric Code
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel significantly (domestic and international)
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
