Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide primary onsite support for prototypes, pilots, ramp deployments, and scaled operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues in the field
• Perform basic fabrication, soldering, cable repair, and component replacement
• Partner with triage, engineering, software, and operations teams to diagnose field escalations
• Develop and maintain service procedures, installation instructions, and maintenance manuals
• Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve reliability and serviceability
• Travel to customer or field sites as required for deployments and maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of field engineering or maintenance experience
• Practical experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong hands-on skills with standard tools and system testing
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work on feet for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing and/or electronics soldering
• Basic experience in a CAD tool such as Solidworks
