About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on Life Science instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories.
- Support and maintain Bio-Rad instruments to ensure quality performance for healthcare research and clinical diagnostics.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers to anticipate and advocate for their technical needs.
- Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations through detailed record keeping and service documentation.
- Travel within the assigned territory, potentially up to 5 days a week, to support onsite technical needs.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of field service experience servicing electro-mechanical, electronic, optical, or robotics equipment.
- A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (military equivalent experience accepted).
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
- Excellent customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to read and follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for frequent daily travel.

- Hands-on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.
