Field Service Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on Bio-Rad Life Science instruments
• Support and maintain critical instrumentation used by customers in hospitals and laboratories
• Build and sustain strong professional relationships with customers to anticipate their needs
• Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations through detailed record keeping and service documentation
• Travel within the assigned territory to provide onsite technical support

Requirements

• 1-3 years of field service experience servicing electro-mechanical, electronic, optical, or robotics equipment
• A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking
• Ability to read and follow complex technical work instructions
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel (up to 5 days a week)
• Must live within a geography that allows for daily onsite customer visits in the Boston, MA area

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments
