About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, qualify, start up, check out, and decommission semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex electromechanical systems
- Troubleshoot issues involving vacuum, gas delivery, RF plasma, robotics, pneumatics, and microprocessor-controlled systems
- Respond to customer equipment problems with timely technical solutions and clear communication
- Document service activity, maintenance records, parts usage, and status reports
- Collaborate with ASM engineering, technical support, and customers to resolve performance issues
- Follow safety procedures and work in cleanroom environments as required
- Travel domestically and internationally based on business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent military technical training
- At least 4 years of experience with OEM semiconductor capital equipment
- Knowledge of wafer fabrication and semiconductor manufacturing environments
- Ability to read electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and gas schematics
- Experience with gas delivery, vacuum, and RF plasma systems
- Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, use Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and travel 25-75%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting ASM semiconductor toolsets
- Familiarity with robotics, microprocessor-based controllers, and basic software concepts
- Experience using hand tools, oscilloscopes, and digital volt meters
- Strong customer-facing experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments
- Ability to present technical action plans and collaborate across teams
