About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, qualify, start up, checkout, maintain, and decommission semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex electromechanical systems
- Troubleshoot issues involving vacuum, gas delivery, RF plasma, robotics, pneumatics, and microprocessor-controlled systems
- Diagnose equipment problems and implement effective corrective actions and ECO field modifications
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate service records, parts usage logs, reports, and daily status updates
- Support cleanroom operations while following safety and PPE requirements
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customer operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent military technical training
- At least 4 years of experience with OEM semiconductor capital equipment
- Knowledge of wafer fabrication and semiconductor manufacturing environments
- Ability to read electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and gas schematics
- Experience with gas delivery, vacuum, and RF plasma systems
- Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, oscilloscopes, and digital volt meters
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Ability to travel 25-75% as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting ASM semiconductor toolsets
- Familiarity with closed-loop gas and vacuum control systems
- Experience presenting technical action plans to customers
- Strong customer-facing experience in semiconductor manufacturing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to identify spare parts and future support opportunities
