About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site startup, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of RUPS systems
- Perform functional testing, load bank testing, and system synchronization
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues related to generators, flywheels, and switchgear
- Interface with clients, contractors, and internal teams during acceptance testing
- Provide technical support and guidance for new installations and system upgrades
- Train junior field service technicians on startup and troubleshooting protocols
- Analyze system performance to enhance efficiency and reliability
Requirements
- BSEE or MSEE degree
- Minimum 4 years of field experience with RUPS, rotary, or generator-based power systems
- 4 years of experience as an electrical engineer
- Proficiency in power/automation programming (Python, Java, SQL, or ladder logic)
- Hands-on experience with rotating equipment and diesel generator systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and megohmmeters
- OSHA 10/30 and NFPA 70E certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience in commissioning engineering or power systems integration
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, OPC, or DNP3
