Field Service Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, network equipment, and peripheral systems at field sites
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of systems including servers, workstations, and network devices
• Support system integration, upgrades, and deployment activities
• Execute preventive maintenance and system health checks
• Document field activities, configurations, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with engineering, network, and cybersecurity teams
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including STIGs and system hardening
• Support logistics coordination for equipment and spares

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in field service engineering or IT support
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• Hands-on experience with installation and repair of IT or network systems
• Familiarity with hardware components, cabling, and basic network configurations
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance
• Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy fielded systems
• Familiarity with ruggedized systems or tactical communications
• Experience with imaging, system deployment tools, or configuration scripts
• Active Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance
